Christmas Pagent

Today was the Christmas Pagent at church.  The church is so simply beautiful, decorated with the essential elements of worship during the Christmas season. I love the Advent wreath.  Always have, but this one is just so pretty, and the warm glow is just peaceful!

My little angel loves to watch the puppets.  Even when she’s supposed to be watching the baby Jesus.  I’m guessing she knows that Jesus isn’t going anywhere, but the puppets will go back into their puppet curtain after they’re done performing.  So she wanted to focus on them!

In the window is a Willow Tree Nativity.  While waiting for all the angels and shepherds to go on, I snapped this.  The only thing that would make this picture more “Christmasey” would be snow on the rooftops and window sill.  But I can wait until Christmas Eve for the snow!

Fritz decided at the last minute that he did not want to be a shepherd today.  He told me, while waiting downstairs that “Today is church day mom, not shepherd day.”  Okay, so I gave up and let him go sit with his dad.  No sense torturing him at such an early age.  He’s still got a good ten years of shepherding left!

So, with all this Christmas in 2014 going on, I thought I’d share why my family celebrates, remembers, and honors this season.
