Hitching A Ride

When A1 was born, I was determined to keep her with me and still get all of my daily tasks done.  Initially, this was possible because she was so tiny. I purchased a beautiful sling from Motherhood, and she was pretty content in there. But by the second week, I realized that she was quickly outgrowing the cute pink & brown paisley sling I had so thoughtfully purchased!  I was in the middle of the boonies with not a children’s store in sight, and so, I abandoned my dream of wearing my daughter.

Fast forward two and a half years, and now our second miracle is here.  Since I went back to work when A1 was nine months, I had no intention of staying home with offspring. It just wasn’t going to be financially possible. But I had no intentions of taking him to daycare just after maternity leave was over either.  So, what’s an organic type working mother to do? Oh yes, wear her baby!
