Where else in the world can you sit in your pajamas or sweatpants, hair up in a ponytail, no make up, and eat potato chips, ice cream, or chocolate chip cookie dough and catch up with your friends at 3:00 am? Only in the blog world. Where else can you sit and ponder life, then express your opinion and views, without the fear of being slapped or shunned?
Where on earth would you be able to chat with a newlywed, grandmother, single father, stay at home mom, work from home mom, teacher, home schooling mom, mother of Many Small Children, a mother waiting to have children, a mother whose children are living in heaven, someone from “across the pond”, out in Cali, or up in the “frozen tundra” all in one day? Why is it that when you feel compelled to “speak” to any of those people, they thank you, and wish you well, rather than judge you?
Oh if all the world could blog. And blog the way my bloggy friends do. With love and respect and genuine concern for others, with insight and fear and humor. Oh if i could tell you how many times my bad day has been blessed with a little story or a quick thought, or even a tweet that someone has posted.
i am thankful for you, Blogger, for opening up this little “virtual world” of people who not only blog to express themselves, but to share a community and encourage each other along the way.
Thank You Blogger
