Man Day

Well, we celebrated “man day” at our house today. Actually, we celebrated it in several places.
First Beef took the trash to the dump, and headed over to the B Bunch’s house to pick up Bre and Bri to come out to our house for the day. As i was cleaning/waiting on their return, my sister, Aunt Bug came by with her boys, JW and Moose. When Beef returned with the B Boys, we decided that he would take them on four wheeler rides while i made brunch. After mixing up a batch of homemade biscuits (seriously) and sausage gravy, the guys were back and ready to eat. While i was cooking, Aunt Bug invited Little C and his friend J over, and they arrived shortly after we finished brunch. Then all the guys (except Moose, cause he’s a little boy) headed to Beef’s Parents (Grammy & Grampy) farm, where they were going to shoot their guns. Target practice must’ve been fun, as they went through five boxes of shells. Carefully saving all the spent shells for me (my future Christmas ideas). Aunt Bug, A1, Moose and JW (who decided the Muzzle loader was too loud) headed into town to get some supplies to cook dinner for this big bunch! We came home and i got started on maid-rites (beefburgers) and corn. Little C made the cupcake batter and poured them into the cups for baking. He also helped me get the table set while Beef and Bre cleaned their guns. After the little boys ate, then the big boys (and girls) got their turn. The food was good, i think because we were able to share it with the family that we love so much! After supper, Little C and J left, and it was just a houseful of kids. We played Uno and Yahtzee! It got a little wild, and Beef had to warn us to keep it down. Aunt Bug took her boys home around 8 and Aunt P showed up for the B Boys around 9. We visited, and i ate about a dozen of the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies that Aunt P made (thank goodness, cause i can’t make them!), and they finally left for their house at 11! It was a great day, one i will remember for a long time. i love to have company, and especially the kids. i want our home to be a safe place where they can run outside and play, get great food, and know that they are loved and treasured so much!
